California Prep held the annual Orientation Day and Acquaintance Day respectively last August 14 and August 16.
The Orientation Day
With separate section meetings, the Orientation Day was the first time ever that the influx of parents was overwhelmingly fantastic. The kinder parents turnout of the Kinder Section reached more than 50 plus the other sections having substantial turnouts.. The section heads (T Michelle, T Juby, and T Lenie) met with the parents for the orientation part 1 while the orientation part 2 was done in the classrooms with the homeroom advisers. The orientation covered the review of the Student-Parent Handbook focusing on the highlights such as procedures and classroom rules. Special emphasis was given on the collaborative aspects between the home and schools plus the Offense Table as well as the signing of the Agreement Form. Furthermore, another component is the PTA meeting with the question and answer portion between the parents and administration.
The Acquaintance Day
Held high school at the auditorium, the Acquaintance Day underscored the giving of special welcome to the new students coming from the USA, Taiwan, China, and other parts of Thailand. All enjoyed the indoor games presented by the Central Student Council led by its officers.
