CPIS celebrated the International Day on Sept. 27, 2019. On this day, the school was filled with colorful costumes and an array of foods from around the world. It is a day to learn, admire and appreciate cultures in our diversified world. The occasion was highlighted with a fashion show and international food fair prepared by the students.
The event kick-started with a parade joined by student-representatives waving flags of different countries. This was followed by a variety of performances adding spice to the said event. Grade level models ramped on stage wearing international costumes. The fashion show winners were as judged by T Lenie, T Jongrak, T Roland, T Kharen, and and T Jongkon: from the elementary- Timmy & Ava (Japan); from the middle school- Nai & Tonwan (India); and from the high school- Ploy & Toey (China). Two kinder students were granted special awards such as Nabdao & Ryota.
CPIS band performed while the fashion show candidates walked on stage to inspire everyone. The band members were Daks-G12 (guitarist), Pangporn-G11 (drummer); Pon-G11 (guitarist); Book-G11 (on keyboard); and Krizzia-G10 (vocalist). Furthermore, the CPIS String and Wind Ensemble gave a special rendition entitled “Awesome God”.
Lunch time was full of flavors! Students cooked various national entries to showcase and display the assigned countries’ delicacies and menus on their assigned booths. Flavorful aroma effused the school's warm air which was followed by food tasting and “stomach development”.
CPIS International Day 2019 was a huge success! The event's objectives were met: to remain open-minded and to accept, respect, and tolerate others of different cultures. Let's continue to practice multiculturalism within and beyond our communities!
