The Hat's Day Competition of California Prep last September 9 in the basketball court got a big support from Grades 1 to 12 and teachers as well.
The winners were as follows:
- Elementary: Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3
- Middle School: Grade 6
- High School: Grade 9
Banners were awarded to the winning teams.
The panel of five judges took three criteria in the selection of the winners.
They were as follows:
- Unity- 30%
- Recycle Theme- 40%
- Idea Presentation- 30%.
Each class members went upfront and presented themselves to the audience and judges. The classes were not required to wear their hats throughout the whole school hours.
The emphasis this year’s Hat's Day event was heavily placed on the conservation of the environment. The underscored concept was on the “Recycled Stuff” which was allocated 40% impact. Unlike the previous Hat's Days, this time two aspects were excluded such as beauty and efforts exerted by the students. They were not considered as criteria of the said competition.
