CPIS Conducts Evacuation Drills
When the siren was surprisingly turned on, everybody was alerted and started taking orders from the teachers. All students followed the protocols of the emergency evacuation plan. Students and teachers later found themselves in various assembly points. Then, TSherwin and TSamson, the safety coordinators gave the instruction to reassemble at the rear section of the school near the proposed football field.
In the open field, TSherwin, the CPIS licensed safety trainer, gave some safety tips and reminders to everyone. Later, he gave the instruction to prepare the paraphernalia for the demonstration on how to use the fire extinguishers. First, the teachers took the lead with actual fire. With smoke billowing, many students followed and excitedly took turns in using the fire extinguishers.
The evacuation drills served as the climax of the 2020 safety training series conducted by TSherwin and his better half, TJade. The latter took the lead in demonstrating the CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) using the mannequin. Teachers did have their own hands-on CPR experience even to the point of having TRaya serving as the volunteer patient until the recovery position.
