From September 15 to 19, 2025, California Prep International School held its annual Week of Prayer under the uplifting theme “God of Wonders.” The five-day devotional encouraged students and teachers to pause and reflect on the greatness of God and His marvelous works in their lives. Each morning from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the CPIS community gathered for worship, songs, and heartfelt messages, uniting in faith and gratitude. The theme reminded everyone that even in ordinary moments, God’s wonders continue to unfold in extraordinary ways.
The guest speaker, Dr. Ritha Maidom, Doctor of Philosophy and Senior Lecturer at Asia-Pacific International University’s School of Arts and Humanities, shared meaningful insights throughout the week. Along with her husband, Dr. Naltan expressed how much they enjoyed being part of the CPIS community and appreciated the students’ attentiveness, the energy and sincerity of the student choristers, the music, and the inspiring song presentations that made each day special. In an interview, Dr. Ritha reflected that her time at CPIS reminded her of how God moves in every circumstance, and how the joyful worship and genuine faith of the students truly inspired her.
Dr. Maidom described her visit as “a tremendous blessing,” highlighting that meeting the students and staff was the most meaningful part of her experience. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the school for the invitation and prayed that God’s abundant blessings continue to be poured upon the entire community. Her daily messages were concluded with a touching prayer band, where teachers and students joined together in a circle of faith, a powerful reflection of unity, devotion, and the living wonder of God at the heart of CPIS. -GT
